ATOI365D

#Office365Challenge – I must admit, when I see spreadsheets or documents typed in All Caps, I get a little bit annoyed. I always say people typing in CAPS only, do it because they’re lazy (excusing when the process actually calls for it). So today I’ll show you how to change the Text Case of content in Excel.

Day: 146 of 365, 219 left
Tools: Excel
Description: Change the case of text in Excel

=Lower(select cells) changes all the text to lower case

=Proper(select cells) changes all the text to Sentence Case (each word with capital letter)

=Upper(select cells) changes all the text to Capitals

Keep in mind, if you add a column to change all the text from the column next to it, first copy and past the new column as values before deleting the old one – as the formulas will give errors.

Below you’ll see an example:

Sorted!!

Overview of my challenge: As an absolute lover of all things Microsoft, I’ve decided to undertake the challenge, of writing a blog every single day, for the next 365 days. Crazy, I know. And I’ll try my best, but if I cannot find something good to say about Office 365 and the Tools it includes for 365 days, I’m changing my profession. So let’s write this epic tale of “Around the Office in 365 Days”. My ode to Microsoft Office 365.

Keep in mind that these tips and tricks do not only apply to Office 365 – but where applicable, to the overall Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint.
