#Microsoft365 – Everyone needs to create a presentation at some point. Using PowerPoint is super easy, and it helps if you know some quick wins. Your content might be on the mark, but if the presentation itself is not visually appealing, it could count against you.

Microsoft 365 Day 41: Use the eyedropper for picking colours in PowerPoint

Today we’ll look at changing the transparency of shapes, to add some more flair to your presentations. (I picked the colour of my shapes from my photo with the eyedropper – see blog link above).

Right click on the shape you would like to change (1), go to “Format Shape (2). Under “Fill” you’ll see the transparency slide bar (3). Move this slider from left to right to achieve the desired transparency level.

Below you’ll see the effect created by it. It allows you to overlay shapes on photos / images while adding text.

Keep in mind that these tips and tricks do not only apply to Office 365 – but to the overall Microsoft Office Suite as well as where applicable, SharePoint.
