#Microsoft365 #Office365 #SharePoint – The Image Gallery web part is a great way to display photos from an event or team building. This could even be used to display new products in a range or maybe the members of a team. Another great idea would be to design posters (images) that shows the company’s values for the landing page of the Intranet, or this week’s motivational quotes. Whichever idea you have – make it great!

Image Gallery

Use the Image gallery web part to share collections of pictures on a page. Simply select your images with the file picker or drag them onto the web part. Once you’ve created your collection, you can drag and drop the images to reorder them as needed. Use the Image Gallery web part on a page.

Take note that these web parts are not available yet for use on classic pages. On how to create pages and add web parts, see SharePoint Pages and Web Parts Introduction.

Adding the web part:

Put your page in to edit mode and click on the “+” to add a new web part. Choose the Image Gallery:

Select (1) whether you want to upload (2) your own images or choose a library (pictures) to display. Images can be dragged onto the page:

 

Once your selection (1) is made you can configure the web part by specifying the source (2), how many items to display (3) the layout (4) and aspect ratio (5):

 

Here is the end result. Again, I would have loved to add a URL to these, but it is a great idea to show photos from an event or team building etc.

When clicking on the image, it opens the image full page in a frame:

Purpose of this blog challenge:  I will write 365 blogs in 365 days around Microsoft 365.
