Supercharged #OneNote in #MicrosoftTeams for #Office365 Education

The last couple of weeks I’ve been training a company on #Office365 for Education subscriptions. I noticed something pretty cool in #MicrosoftTeams that I’d like to share with you. I’m really hoping we’ll get this in the Enterprise and Small Business package too!

Let’s first create some awareness. I have way to many awesome men in my life that I want to be around when I grow old.

Staff Notebook:

First I noticed the Staff Notebook on the General Channel. When you click on it, it gives you options to create a private space for your staff:

Here’s more details of what you can expect to see:

On the other channels there appears a Notes Tab:

Only once you physically create a page in that Notes section, does it create the section in SharePoint.

I think this is awesome!!! Pretty please Microsoft, can we have this in the other subscriptions? Currently I’m creating the sections in the OneNote manually and teaching my clients to do so.

I’ll be speaking at The European SharePoint, Office 365 & Azure Conference in Copenhagen, 26 – 29th of November. #ESPC18 @EuropeanSP Also honored to be a community reporter at the event. Hoping to see you there!

New Initiative:

Every couple of months I’m going to travel to a new country, rent a motorcycle, and travel to as many communities as possible, for 15.2 days. Purpose would be to create awareness around Digital Literacy and give users an overview of Office 365 Apps and Services and how it can transform their lives. I’ll do video and written blogs to capture and share my journey and experiences.

Feedback would be crucial, and I’ll be using Microsoft Forms & Flow to gather valuable feedback for myself and Microsoft. I will be inviting other community members to join me on my journey when I’m in their respective areas.

Of course it wouldn’t be possible without sponsorship to help support this cause. Reach out if you’re interested on getting involved in any way, here’s a link to a Microsoft Form that can be completed:  https://bit.ly/2LaQBRQ

Use #OneNote to manage the Information overload at #MSIgnite

Here’s some tips on preparing for #MSIgnite and also how to handle all the information you’ll consume and try to remember. Of course I’m saying use #Microsoft #OneNote. Let me show you an easy way to categorize and prepare your pages before the conference, so you can sit back and enjoy the sessions. #LearningThroughSharing

#Microsoft365 Day 278: Send important emails to #OneNote pages

This is a winner for sure!!! At the moment it only seems to send to your personal OneNote, but I’m going to try and figure that out. I immediately thought of saving time and being much more productive by sending all my conference and trip confirmations to pages in #OneNote. Much easier to keep track this way as it’s available offline.

Purpose of this blog challenge:  I will write 365 blogs in 365 days around Microsoft 365. I did a similar challenge with Office 365, blogs can be found  https://tracyvanderschyff.com/microsoft-365/ . I won’t just be talking about the new Microsoft 365 subscription model. I will be sharing any news, tips and tricks around Office / Office 365 / Windows / Mobility and Security. And let’s not forget all the great new Apps & services available.  A lot of what I’ll share on Office and SharePoint will also be applicable to none “Office 365” versions.

#Microsoft365 Day 272: View, restore and delete #OneNote page versions

I love that I learn new things every day. How cool is it that you can view the previous versions of your OneNote pages? This is also where you’ll restore a previous version or delete it if necessary. #OneNote ROCKS!!!

#Microsoft365 Day 273: See the bigger picture with Page Width in #OneNote

As you might know, #OneNote doesn’t work on normal A4 size pages. Which means we end up drawing and making notes everywhere on our blank canvas. This is sometimes frustrating as you have to scroll through your information. With the Page Width Button, it will ‘snap’ the page back to the full image, by zooming out until you see all the content. Yup. I think so too, #OneNote is amazing!

#Microsoft365 Day 266: Where’s my #MicrosoftTeam #OneNote Stored?

We know that your Microsoft Team (#Office365Group) creates a OneNote for you to use. If you’re not sure where that is stored, let me show you. It’s called Notebook and it’s created right there on your #SharePoint site behind your #MicrosoftTeam.
