#Office365Challenge – Ever press the Send button in Outlook to realise you’ve cc’d the wrong people, or forgot to add something on the mail? Well, Outlook has a Recall action, which if you’re lucky and fast enough – works.

Day: 144 of 365, 221 left
Tools: Outlook
Description: Recall Messages in Outlook

When you’ve pressed send, immediately go to your Sent Items (if it’s still in your Outbox, delete it there or click “Work Offline” so it cannot send).

Open the item in your Sent Items, go to Actions > Recall this Message:
Recall1

You will receive a message to confirm your action:
Recall2

If you open the message in your Sent Items now, you can go to the Tracking to see if it succeeded. If the mail was sent to multiple recipients, it might succeed the recall to some and not others, based on whether they’ve opened their mail etc.:

Overview of my challenge: As an absolute lover of all things Microsoft, I’ve decided to undertake the challenge, of writing a blog every single day, for the next 365 days. Crazy, I know. And I’ll try my best, but if I cannot find something good to say about Office 365 and the Tools it includes for 365 days, I’m changing my profession. So let’s write this epic tale of “Around the Office in 365 Days”. My ode to Microsoft Office 365.

Keep in mind that these tips and tricks do not only apply to Office 365 – but where applicable, to the overall Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint.
