#Office365Challenge – Here’s another good one I learnt because of a student today.  Thanks Johan Loots. Irritated by windows that always open in a small window, and not expanded? So a student asked me this today – I searched for the answer and voila. There is a way. You can set a default.

Day: 155 of 365, 210 left
Tools: Windows
Description: Always open windows expanded

When you open apps / file explorer etc. on your machine, it doesn’t always open in fully expanded mode.

To set a default on how windows should open, do the following:

  1. Open the app (file explorer etc.)
  2. Expand the window by clicking maximize or Windows Button + Up Arrow
  3. Once expanded, close the window while keeping the CTRL button in.

Done, your computer has now set a default on how to open that app etc.

I know. It’s just another one of those things we didn’t know existed, but makes the world’s difference!

Overview of my challenge: As an absolute lover of all things Microsoft, I’ve decided to undertake the challenge, of writing a blog every single day, for the next 365 days. Crazy, I know. And I’ll try my best, but if I cannot find something good to say about Office 365 and the Tools it includes for 365 days, I’m changing my profession. So let’s write this epic tale of “Around the Office in 365 Days”. My ode to Microsoft Office 365.

Keep in mind that these tips and tricks do not only apply to Office 365 – but where applicable, to the overall Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint.
