Excited that I got this sorted out today, and that’s to add my company #Intranet, to #MicrosoftTeams as an app. There’s a couple of steps you should follow and if you’re new to #PowerShell or the SharePoint Online Management Shell, it might be a bit overwhelming. But if you’ve got Global Amin rights and the time to learn something new, today is the day. Here’s the steps I followed as well as the resources I promised and below that you’ll find the How To video:
- Create site (not covered)
- Create another site (not covered)
- Link as hub and connected sites
- Download SharePoint Online Management Shell
- Set main hub site (or normal site collection) as Home site in tenant
- Customize Global Navigation
- Download Viva Connections for Teams desktop package
- Run Scrip + Supply Information
- Upload app to Teams Admin Center
- Configure the policy for access

Yeah. I’ve also avoided it a bit as it felt a bit all over the place and confusing. But it worked out quite easy in the end. Have fun!!

Hi Tracy! This vide was beyond helpful! I absolutely love the design and format of your current SP site in the video and wanted to know if you used a template to achieve that result. I would love and appreciate more details on this.

You’re so welcome, and by the way, Viva Connections no longer require the PowerShell. Can now be done in Admin Center. The site is built from scratch but if you Search SharePoint, banners, branding etc on my blog you’ll find recent ones that covers most of it
