#Office365Challenge – Office365 Admin Mobile App – Managing your Release Preferences is 3 clicks away. By now you’d know that one of the benefits of Office 365 and SharePoint Online – is that you have access to latest versions or releases and it’s done for you. However, you might want to control when these updates happens.

Tools: Office365
Description: Release Preferences in Office 365

Yesterday I installed the Office365 Admin Mobile App, in this post I’ll be using that App to make changes to my Release Preferences.

On your mobile device, click on the Office365 Admin App to open it.

In the dropdown,  select Settings:

73001

Under Settings, select Release Preferences:

73002

Here you’ll notice the different options. “Depending on your subscription and installation type you can control which channel you are in.”

73003

Standard Release: “This is the default option where you and your users receive the latest updates when they’re released broadly to all Office 365 customers. This gives you extra time to prepare your support staff and users for upcoming changes.”

First Release: “With this option, you and your users can be the first to see the latest updates and help shape the product by providing early feedback. You can choose to have individuals or the entire organization receive updates early.”

How easy is that?!

Overview of my challenge: As an absolute lover of all things Microsoft, I’ve decided to undertake the challenge, of writing a blog every single day, for the next 365 days. Crazy, I know. And I’ll try my best, but if I cannot find something good to say about Office 365 and the Tools it includes for 365 days, I’m changing my profession. So let’s write this epic tale of “Around the Office in 365 Days”. My ode to Microsoft Office 365.

Keep in mind that these tips and tricks do not only apply to Office 365 – but where applicable, to the overall Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint.
