#Office365Challenge – Does you Inbox get “out” of hand? Of course it does, we manage our lives through our emails. In this blog I’ll give you some tips on how to better manage your emails.

Day: 149 of 365, 216 left
Tools: Outlook
Description: Manage emails in Outlook

The first thing I’ve done is to create a folder in my Inbox for “Inbox Completed”. Right click on Inbox (1), then select New Folder (2), Give it a name:

ManageEmails1

Any emails that I’ve dealt with – I click the flag twice (once makes it red, twice marks it as complete):

ManageEmails

Once a day, I sort my emails by Completed by clicking on the column header (1), I then select the Completed grouping and drag it into my Inbox Completed folder:
ManageEmails3

So that keeps finalized emails out of my Inbox and I only have to concentrate on the ones still outstanding.

Remember that you can still search in your main Inbox and it will find mails in this folder as well.

I hope that saves you a couple of minutes a day!

Overview of my challenge: As an absolute lover of all things Microsoft, I’ve decided to undertake the challenge, of writing a blog every single day, for the next 365 days. Crazy, I know. And I’ll try my best, but if I cannot find something good to say about Office 365 and the Tools it includes for 365 days, I’m changing my profession. So let’s write this epic tale of “Around the Office in 365 Days”. My ode to Microsoft Office 365.

Keep in mind that these tips and tricks do not only apply to Office 365 – but where applicable, to the overall Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint.
