#Office365Challenge Again I was reminded today how so many people don’t know the basics around Office. This is exactly why I undertook this challenge, to share something with you every day, and to show you how Office makes your life easier.
Day: | 227 of 365, 138 left |
Tools: | PowerPoint |
Description: | Change Landscape to Portrait |
Now before I get into today’s tip – I am gonna “carry” on a bit more about the basics. We forget how much we’ve learnt or how much other people still have to learn (and of course, how much we still have to learn). You cannot expect someone to become a super user in SharePoint if they haven’t managed the basics in Office yet.
Please, please invest in your employees by helping them become Super Users in Office first, before throwing SharePoint at them.
So here’s a quick tip on changing your PowerPoint slide from the default Landscape, to Portrait.
Click on the Design Tab (1) > Slide Size (2) > Customize Slide Size (3) > Portrait (4). Easy right? But believe me, if you don’t know how to do this – it’s frustrating.
Cool. Catch ya tomorrow.
Overview of my challenge: As an absolute lover of all things Microsoft, I’ve decided to undertake the challenge, of writing a blog every single day, for the next 365 days. Crazy, I know. And I’ll try my best, but if I cannot find something good to say about Office 365 and the Tools it includes for 365 days, I’m changing my profession. So let’s write this epic tale of “Around the Office in 365 Days”. My ode to Microsoft Office 365.
Keep in mind that these tips and tricks do not only apply to Office 365 – but where applicable, to the overall Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint.
