I’ve decided to take on a bit of March Madness and challenge myself to learning and sharing something new on the #Microsoft Power Platform every day, for a month. I’ll be looking at #PowerApps, #PowerAutomate, #PowerBI as well as the #MicrosoftPowerVirtualAgents (bots) that can be built. Focus would be to enable new #CitizenDevelopers to get started with this amazing platform.

First we’ll take a look at what the platform is and the components it includes. I’ll also be sharing resources to help you build that community of #LearningThroughSharing.

Microsoft Power Platform

Foster innovation everywhere across your organisation with the Microsoft Power Platform—analyse data, build solutions, automate processes, and create virtual agents. Read more…

The Microsoft Power Platform is more than the sum of its parts. Connect them together—and to Office 365, Dynamics 365, Azure, and hundreds of other apps—and build end-to-end business solutions.

In layman’s terms, this means to me that as powerful as these apps (Power BI, Power Apps & Power Automate) can be, the mutualistic symbiosis that exist between them is where the magic not only lives, but thrives. Together with the other apps in Office 365 as well as Dynamics 365 and Azure, the possibilities for improvements are limitless.

I loved the graphic used in this blog by Tyler Durham on Tech Community and it inspired me to draw this Infographic to explain things better to myself:

In the next blogs I’ll go into more detail on each as well as ways to fast track your learning and quick wins to build.

Community

Even with all the resources out there, I would be nothing without the Microsoft Community. I’m also a very big fan of using Twitter to stay up to date, so here are the resources that I think could help you.

Twitter handles to follow:

See you tomorrow… 🙂
