ATOI365D#Office365Challenge I have to give Alistair Pugin (the ECM Ninja) the credit for this one. As ok as I think I am with PowerPoint, I’ve never worked with Slide Masters till this past week, while I was prepping the slide deck for #SPSJHB. So here goes.

Create and customize a slide master

Slide Masters are great for creating templates where a lot of pages might have the same logo, text or background. Instead of copying and pasting this to all, you can add these objects to the slide master, and reference / reuse them where applicable.

To access the slide master, go to View > Slide Master:

Here you can create different pages to use (this can be referenced in the “Normal View”). Insert Images, text etc. where necessary. Change view back to Normal to add unique content:

In the Normal view, you can right click on the slide on the left > go to Layout and choose a different layout for your slide, as per your slide master:

Easy right? Now you know how those ‘fancy’ templates are created.

Overview of my challenge: As an absolute lover of all things Microsoft, I’ve decided to undertake the challenge, of writing a blog every single day, for the next 365 days. Crazy, I know. And I’ll try my best, but if I cannot find something good to say about Office 365 and the Tools it includes for 365 days, I’m changing my profession. So let’s write this epic tale of “Around the Office in 365 Days”. My ode to Microsoft Office 365.
Keep in mind that these tips and tricks do not only apply to Office 365 – but where applicable, to the overall Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint.
