PowerPoint has Themes and Variants associated with the look and feel of your slide. I suppose most people don’t mess around with this too much, but something that could definitely help – is to change the colours of your hyperlinks. Sometimes I have dark backgrounds and it just doesn’t display well.
To change the colours click on the Design Tab (1) > Click on Variants Dropdown (2), then click on colours (3). Here you’ll see the different colour schemes. Click on Customize Colours (4):
Here you’ll have the ability to change the hyperlink colour:
